Hackers Reveal Microsoft Sharing Information With FBI
Till now we all were aware about the truth that tech companies gave legal access to user data on government’s request but we’re unaware that big tech companies also charge government to provide users data.
Syrian Electronic Army ( SEA) , a Pro-Hacking group which hacked into Microsoft’s blog and twitter account and even Microsoft admitted that there blog was compromised but this time SEA have achieved something bigger then we expected.
This time SEA have compromised into FBI’s super-secret Digital Intercept Technology Unit (DITU) , where they found they actual invoices of Microsoft detailing how much each request cost which means Microsoft charges for every document they provide to FBI Agents.
The hacking group SEA is famous for hacking into Forbes , Skype , CNN and PayPal by using different techniques.
No SIM Will Be Activated Without Biometric Verification PTA.
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority ( PTA ) has announced that now no cellular sim will be activated without biometric verification in Karachi and Balochistan after 1st April 2014.
Move is aimed at curbing unregistered or unverified SIMs in Pakistan , as more than 80% of them are used by criminal or terrorist activities in Pakistan. As PTA says , the customer has to show his/her CNIC to the cellular company representative and then customer has to record the thumb impression which will be matched with the thumb print recorded in NADRA’s Database.
If the thumb print matches successfully, the SIM will be issued to the customer. This way, no one can purchase a SIM on fake CNIC or on the one belonging to someone else.

For complete elimination of all unverified SIMs, Cellular operators will have to verify all the operating SIMs biometric verification and for this reason, customers of all cellular operators will be requested to come to the franchise and verify their SIMs again through the biometric verification system.

In theory, this would tighten the use of Russian information and limit the degree to which Google, Microsoft, and other companies can share data with the NSA. In practice, it’s expected that the corporations would be forced to grant backdoor access to Russian law enforcement.
